I have a volume of Theodore Sturgeon short stories I am beginning to read and the foreword is written by Harlan Ellison, who's written a ton of science fiction including among other things "A Boy and His Dog." This isn't all too interesting except for I've noticed that he registered his name as a trademark so he signs all his writing like this: Harlan Ellison ®. I cannot think of a more ridiculous thing to do. The only other name I can think of that's trademarked is Walt Disney. It says, "Hey--I'm a product. Buy me!" I suppose he is at least being honest.
